Who is Waypoint?
Run by Ryan Penning, a seasoned Producer, and artists Eric Tahiri and Liezl Ronquill, Waypoint is a premium networking event for the video game industry, providing an opportunity for people working within the Sydney Games industry to build connections and discover new games and content being locally developed. Whether you’re a seasoned game audio engineer or just curious about the games industry, all ASSG members are welcome to attend.
The Australian Screen Sound Guild are sponsoring this event and will be handing out drink tokens so have a drink on us!
Overview of event
Get ready for an epic revival at Waypoint Volume 7! After an extended break to frolic in the sun, we have returned to bring back the good vibes and memories of last year and celebrate a new one!
We’re combining our albeit late end-of-year anniversary celebration with our start-of-year event at a new venue, where we’re bringing back all the games and teams we had last year, along with some new ones to celebrate last year’s end as we begin this new one! Waypoint is officially 3 years running since returning, so there’s a lot to celebrate!
The event will be hosted in the private tavern area on the bottom floor of Fortress Sydney, which is helping host the event- with food and drinks available at the bar! It is around a 5-10 minute walk from Central Station.
We hope to see many ASSG members there!
