NOTICE OF 2025 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) AUSTRALIAN SCREEN SOUND GUILD

Our AGM will be held on Zoom on Thursday, 15th January 2026.

7:00pm AEDT (NSW, VIC, ACT, TAS)
6:30pm ACDT (SA)
6:00pm AEST (QLD)
5:30pm ACST (NT)
4:00pm AWST (WA)

Any ASSG member can attend the AGM, but only full members have voting rights.

The Zoom link for the AGM have been emailed, with a reminder email being sent out a few hours beforehand.

We encourage all ASSG Members to attend the AGM. It’s an opportunity to get to know how the Guild operates and to raise any matters or ask questions.

AGM REGULATIONS


A quorum for the AGM is deemed to be five full and financial members.
Only full and financial members are entitled to stand for positions on the committee and vote in the elections.

Call for Committee Members

Nominations are invited for the Executive Committee.
You can nominate yourself, but two FULL and financial members must support your nomination in writing.

7pm AEDT, Monday 12th January 2025
(Nominations received after 7pm will be deemed ineligible)

You do not need to be on the executive committee to be apart of our sub-committees

We need new ASSG committee members to help keep the Guild running.
Will you consider joining the committee next year?

We welcome committee members from all over. If you don’t think you qualify, think again!
You just need to be a full member, attend meetings once a month via Zoom, and be willing to lend a hand to the various tasks and projects the ASSG takes on throughout the year.



Some of the skills we value include (but are not limited to):

  • Writing / drafting (Articles and emails)
  • Graphic design (Awards theme inc Awards booklet, banner, invitations etc.)
  • Salespersonship (recruiting sponsors, donations etc.)
  • Arts policy and government issues
  • Team management (eg. managing a group and keeping things on track)
  • Data management (eg. managing spreadsheets and forms etc.)
  • Media management
  • Website content updates
  • Social media
  • Admin tasks (Following up with people on things needed)
  • Brainstorming
