The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) is set to deliver the first run of the ‘AFTRS Advanced: Location Sound Skills’ short course this December.
This hands-on, advanced sound recording course is designed for early-career sound recordists and independent filmmakers to expand their audio skills for screen projects. Over two immersive days, participants will build practical skills in booming, wiring, mixing, sound reporting and collaborating with production teams under real-world conditions.
Guided by leading industry professional James Nowiczewski, you’ll learn to select and deploy microphones effectively, configure and troubleshoot wireless systems and gain confidence in managing audio on set and on location.
